Background

Health Office Diocese of Jinja (HODOJ) is a department of the Catholic Diocese of Jinja and was founded in 1987 to support and to coordinate the Diocesan health facilities, community health and HIV/AIDS related issues. It is a semi-autonomous department that has its own governance and management systems. Health service delivery largely takes place at health facility levels. The core mandate of the health office is therefore Coordination, support supervision, fundraising, lobbying and advocacy and capacity enhancement /building  where need be  and creating  potential partnerships  and representation of the health institutions under the Diocese.

Mission

In faithfulness to the mission of Christ, we provide professional and sustainable holistic health services, through partnership, to enable the population live their life to the full.

Organisation

Health office is Coordinating 8 Diocesan Health Facilities which are spread out in different civil Districts of Busoga Sub Region as well as coordinating performance based financing approach in other 12 Government health facilities in Kamuli District.
